Privacy policy
Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE].
[LEGAL NAME] ("we") is responsible for the personal information we collect. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), which sets rules for how organizations collect, use, and disclose personal information. Personal information means information about an identifiable individual, such as a name, phone number, or email address.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us when you request a quote or contact us: your name, role, phone number, email address, and the building's name and address.
- Details about the building you tell us, such as the number of units and the areas to be cleaned.
- For buildings we clean: visit records and dated photos of common areas. We avoid photographing people.
- Records needed to invoice clients and keep business accounts.
Why we collect it
We use personal information only to reply to your request, prepare and send a quote, deliver and report on cleaning, invoice for our work, and meet legal requirements. We collect only what we need for these purposes.
Consent
By sending a request through our website, by phone, or by email, you consent to our using your information for the purposes above. We will only send you news emails if you tick the box that asks for them, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contract limits.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as our email provider (Google Workspace), our website host (Cloudflare), and our form service, and only as needed for them to provide that service. Some of these providers may store information outside Canada. Visit records and photos for a building are shared only with that building's manager or council.
Our website
Our website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies or track you across other websites.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests that do not become contracts for up to one year. We keep client records, including visit logs and photos, for the length of the contract and as long afterwards as tax and business laws require. We then delete or destroy them securely.
How we protect it
Our accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step sign-in, and only the business's partners can access personal information.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask how we have used it, and ask us to correct it. Contact our privacy contact below. We will respond within 30 days, as PIPA requires.
